No user has the capability to configure or change underwriting rules in the Productions environment. All updates in production are done through a Package release.
Changes are made by Clients in Dev and then audited by SM8 for efficiency of construct
All underwriting rule changes are versioned if an historic application has utilised a specific rule or disclosure. For clarification, if an underwriting disclosure has never been used in an application and the disclosure or rule is reconfigured, then no versioning is required. Only those disclosures that have been utilised that are modified are versioned accordingly. This ensures that each new configuration of an underwriting rule, does not require the entire rule base to be versioned.
Users must have access to CreateRule role and permissions to affect change. This role is usually only provided to the Client senior underwriters.
