The purpose this Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is to ensure the business can continue to operate during and following any critical incident that disrupts normal operational capability.
Disaster recovery is the process of preparing for and recovering from a disaster. An event that prevents a workload or system from fulfilling its business objectives in its primary deployed location is considered a disaster. This document outlines SM8 practices for planning and testing disaster recovery for any workload deployed to AWS and offers different approaches to mitigate risks and meet the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
The objectives are to;
- undertake risk management assessment of business continuity for Sm8rtHealth Limited Partnership (“SM8”)
- define and prioritise Sm8rtHealth application critical business functions
- detail SM8 immediate response to a critical incident
- detail strategies and actions to be taken to enable SM8 software platform to remain functioning without compromising users
- review and update this plan on a regular basis.
